The Nova Scotia Leviathan bested the San Mateo Dirty Reds by a score of 6-5, with third baseman Richard Trevithick getting the main credit. On the day, Trevithick went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Leviathan. The first-place Leviathan, at 57-34, now lead their division by 3 games.

Trevithick had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Urs Ehles, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Leviathan a 6-5 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Trevithick.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Nova Scotia manager Andrew Powell.
