Knights Prevail, 4-2, Over Baltimore
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Kingston Township Knights got the win.
The Kingston Township Knights picked up a win at Baltimore Grounds, knocking off the Baltimore Bullets, 4-2. Starting pitcher Francisco Díaz was a big reason why. In 8 innings, Díaz surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Stu Searle, credited with the save, is now 16 for 20 in save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Kingston Township, had it not been for Kenny Dixon, the 26-year old shortstop . Dixon contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Kingston Township up, 2-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Díaz.
The Knights raised their record to 28-63.
