Stingers Edge Past Dirty Reds, 8-7
Stingers fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.

The Toledo Stingers did just enough to sneak past the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 8-7, at Pacesetter Park. Toledo left fielder Matt Dunlap, in particular, had a standout performance. Toledo reliever Mike Tate picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Urs Ehles took the loss.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Toledo trailing 7-6, Alfred Howard Biggs hit a fastball from Urs Ehles to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Stingers had a walk-off win.

"We maximized our offense today," said Toledo skipper TJ Reynolds. "That makes everyone's life easier."

With the win over San Mateo, the Stingers improved to 42-43.
