The Toledo Stingers stopped the Panama City Piranhas, 11-3, at The Tank. The Stingers got a big game from Chris P. Bacon, who was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The 6th-place Stingers are 39-42.

The Piranhas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Stingers going into the top of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old right fielder Lester Threlfall came to the plate. Threlfall hit a bases-clearing double on a full count fastball from Panama City hurler Dylan Grandjean. It was Threlfall's 30th double of the year.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Threlfall.
