Close Win Moves Leviathan to 42-28
|
Lloyd Natoff could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Hollywood Shredders lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Nova Scotia Leviathan at The Hollywood Bowl. The winning pitcher was Liam Bane. He's now 4-3. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Leviathan. With the win, the Leviathan improved to 42-28.
Nova Scotia relied on the bat of Richard Trevithick to get the win. The first baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Leviathan ahead, 3-2. For the game, Trevithick had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Every loss hurts," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese. "But this was a tough one."
