Alohalani Hits 3 home runs in Dirty Reds Win
|
The San Mateo Dirty Reds beat the Toledo Stingers, 7-4, at Lang Park. The Dirty Reds got a fine performance from third baseman Kawenaula Alohalani, who slugged 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Mike Park, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. The Dirty Reds, at 41-25, lead by one game in their division.
In the top of the ninth, Matt Dunlap stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Stingers were trailing 7-4, but had the bases loaded. That's when Hahn Hartwig made a terrific pitch and Dunlap flied out. Gone was the dream of a Toledo comeback.
