Road Win Lifts Bakersfield to 2-1 Lead in R1

Their bats were silent and Bakersfield had a rookie on the mound. No problem.
On a day when the Nobles struggled to string together much offense, the club got a big boost from 23-year-old starter Keith Lynskey. The right-hander quieted the Alaskan Humpbacks at Sea World to help Bakersfield take the 1-0 decision and seize a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 PL AAA Championship.
Lynskey allowed no runs on 2 hits over 6.2 innings for the Nobles. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Lynskey told the Bakersfield Bulletin.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sea World in Eugene.
