Leviathan Upend Bullets, 6-4
|
The Nova Scotia Leviathan racked up a win at Baltimore Grounds, bumping off the Baltimore Bullets, 6-4. Rod Watts, who started for Nova Scotia, pitched effectively for his team. Nova Scotia reliever Gary Podell picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ron Rouse shouldered the loss. Tom DeHart recorded his 19th save for Nova Scotia.
Nova Scotia used the clutch hitting of Senthamilselvi Manohoran to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Leviathan the lead, 5-4. For the game, Manohoran had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Nova Scotia manager Andrew Powell.
Nova Scotia has 5 straight wins, Baltimore 3 straight losses.
