DELMARVA GALLOS AT LAREDO HAWKS

SL A Championship Sweep to Hawks
It was a glorious moment for Hawks fans today as Laredo claimed the 2045 SL A Championship title with a 6-4 victory at Hawks Field.

Jubilant Laredo players swamped each other on the diamond after completing a dominant sweep of the Delmarva Gallos, as chants of "Thank you, Hawks" reverberated all around the ballpark.

In the losing dugout, sadness reigned. Gallos skipper Jorge Carranza told reporters it was "hard to describe" the feeling of losing in the SL A Championship.

"Your heart is heavy, you are hurting -- it's a very difficult time," he said. "And to be swept is embarrassing. You just want to forget it ever happened."

For the Laredo Hawks, it was a season to remember. They finished the regular season with a record of 58-39, good enough for second place in the Silver A. Then they topped it off by winning the SL A Championship 3-0.
