South Beach Tops Chicago Again, 6-3
|
A strong performance from pitcher Markus Magee was not enough for the Chicago Tula, who were stopped by the visiting South Beach Blaze, 6-3, in Game 2 of the PL A Championship. The Blaze never truly figured out the left-handed Magee, who threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Still, the Blaze now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-5 series.
Henry Williams, the South Beach catcher, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 4-2, Blaze. For the game, Williams was 1 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I felt good up there," said Williams. "I saw the ball well."
The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 11th , 2045 at Ramblers Ballpark in Chicago.
