The Hollywood Shredders got a magnificent performance from pitcher Tadamichi Chikafuji, who muffled the Toledo offense en route to a tight 3-0 Shredders win at The Hollywood Bowl. The winning pitcher was Chikafuji, now 3-1. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Willie Steele picked up the save, his 1st.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Willie Steele didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Toledo trailing 1-0, Steele retired Sébastien Cornu to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Steele, with a wink.

Hollywood now has a record of 32-27 with the win.
