The Nova Scotia Leviathan got a magnificent performance from pitcher Kent Good, who muffled the San Mateo offense en route to a tight 3-1 Leviathan win at The Dungeon in Halifax. Tom DeHart picked up the save, his 17th. With this game in the books, Nova Scotia is 35-23, San Mateo 36-22.

In the bottom of the third, Tom Smythe hit a 2-run double. The 9th double of the season for the Nova Scotia center fielder put the Leviathan on top, 2-0.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Nova Scotia manager Andrew Powell.
