The Ogallala Octopi bested the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople by a score of 5-4, with first baseman Antoine Mercier getting the main credit. On the day, Mercier was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Octopi. Bob Brown got the win, improving to 5-7. He held the Snowpeople to 4 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 5. The 10th-place Octopi now have a win-loss record of 37-49.
José Cabañas, who is tied for 2nd in the 3R in bases on balls with 41, aided the Ogallala cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 2-3 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times.
