The Flint Crush defeated the Watford City Trash Pandas, 9-6. Doing his part was designated hitter Mario Torres, who went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Flint reliever Hung-chang Bi picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Alex Byrne shouldered the loss. Ismael Nicacio earned the save, his 2nd, for the Crush.
With runs few and far between, the Crush had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Flint came in the bottom of the second inning, when center fielder Ho-jun Sin delivered a 2-run single. The single was hit off Alex Byrne and made the score 3-1, Crush. Sin went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
Torres told a Flint Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The victory makes Flint 19-59.
