The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish did just enough to sneak past the Greenport Harbor Whales, 6-5, at Ballpark of Robbins. Plattsburgh third baseman Frank Corbett, in particular, had a standout performance. Plattsburgh reliever Patrick Saunders picked up the win to move to 4-0. Francisco Luna suffered the loss. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Plattsburgh.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 13th, until Corbett delivered big-time for Plattsburgh, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Tolya Germanov. The game-changing hit put the Puffer Fish on top, 6-5.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Greenport manager Fernando Mendoza. "But we decided not to take it."
