Stingers Go Down to Defeat, 6-3
The home crowd had a good time watching the Toledo Stingers and San Mateo Dirty Reds get after it.

The performance of Jason Slaybaugh proved critical in helping San Mateo beat Toledo, 6-3. The Dirty Reds first baseman was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Ronald Fritz got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 5.2 innings. Mike Park earned save number 1 this season.

Doing his part for San Mateo was designated hitter Vicente Gonzáles, who stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Gonzáles was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
