Hounds Come Up Short at Ogallala, 5-4
Fans watched the Ogallala Octopi and the Hicksville Hounds fight to the finish.

A good performance from shortstop Miguel Flores helped the Ogallala Octopi defeat the Hicksville Hounds, 5-4. Flores was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Octopi. Ogallala, at 24-41, holds down 10th place in the Menard's R.

Flores made an early impact for Ogallala when he stroked his 11th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Octopi on top, 2-0.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Hicksville manager Oliver Burrell.
