Beaumont Crossbeaus starter Noud Taaij turned in a sterling performance against the Quebec City Baby Blues, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Taaij, the winner, moves to 6-5. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 13 and giving up 1 walk. The winning streak has now reached 8 games for the Crossbeaus.

Jesús Fernández, the Beaumont first baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 3-0, Crossbeaus. For the game, Fernández went 1 for 3 with a walk.
