|
Getting a good performance from left fielder Elliot Banks, the Quebec City Baby Blues defeated the Greenport Harbor Whales, 4-2. Banks was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Baby Blues. Quebec City reliever Kelsey Conrad picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Shinsui Kawaguchi shouldered the loss. The Harbor Whales, at 28-60, have lost 4 straight games.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Quebec City trailing 2-1, Banks hit a slider from Shinsui Kawaguchi for a 3-run home run, giving the Baby Blues the walk-off win.
"We did enough to win," said Banks.
