San Mateo Dirty Reds starter Sylvain Richard was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 2-1. Richard picked up the win for San Mateo, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Hahn Hartwig was credited with the save for San Mateo, his 2nd of the season.

It could have been a different outcome for San Mateo, had it not been for Kawenaula Alohalani, the 25-year old third baseman . Alohalani contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put San Mateo up, 2-0.
