Leviathan Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Dirty Reds, 5-3
The Dungeon in Halifax was the site of a competitive game between the San Mateo Dirty Reds and Nova Scotia Leviathan.

The 5-3 Nova Scotia win over San Mateo was due in large part to Ricardo Águila. The Leviathan right fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win was credited to Will Sovaiala in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Rainer Ausmus took the loss.

Águila had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Rainer Ausmus, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Leviathan a 5-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Águila.

Águila told a Nova Scotia Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The first-place Leviathan have won 6 in a row.
