Harbor Whales Collect 6-2 Win Over Puffer Fish
|
Greenport Harbor Whales starter Elroy Mastenbroek hurled his team past the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 6-2. Jorge Valdéz notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 2-1. The win puts Greenport at 26-47.
Greenport used the clutch hitting of Naomichi Kodo to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Harbor Whales the lead, 3-1. For the game, Kodo had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
