Octopi Win at Bompton, 5-1
|
The Ogallala Octopi got a strong performance from pitcher Frank Baldwin, who stymied the Bompton offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Field of the Browns. The loss puts Bompton at 10-8.
The result might have been different, had it not been for Wen Mi, the Ogallala left fielder. Mi had a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Octopi ahead, 5-0. For the game, Mi had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"Feels good to get the job done," Mi said after the game.
