Sea Dogs Deal Beavers 3-2 Defeat
|
Maine starter Yermolay Olhivsky pitched well against the Northwest Territory Beavers at Beaver Town. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Olhivsky, now 6-1. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. The triumph puts Maine at 25-20 for the season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Curt Marks? The Maine shortstop had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sea Dogs on top, 3-0. For the game, Marks had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
