Shredders Win at Toledo, 6-2
|
Hollywood third baseman Lautaro Lacasa was a significant contributor in his team's 6-2 triumph over the Toledo Stingers. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Hollywood. Eric Mason got the save, the 3rd for him this season. The third-place Shredders have won 4 straight games.
Lacasa had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-2 changeup from Ricky Sellers, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Shredders a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Lacasa.
In postgame remarks, Lacasa said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
