The Northwest Territory Beavers topped the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 5-2, in USSL Rookie action at The Target. The game was highlighted by the performance of Northwest Territory pitcher Joaquín Herrera. Northwest Territory reliever Ikaaka Iokia was the winner. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Walt Gould. Beaumont has now lost 4 in a row.

Northwest Territory used the clutch hitting of Al Stabb to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Beavers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Northwest Territory manager Melvin Henry.
