Plattsburgh had no answer for Northwest Territory Beavers starter Mario Ledezma, who flummoxed Puffer Fish hitters as the Beavers cruised to victory, 8-1. The win puts Northwest Territory at 10-15.

Phil Baker dealt the Puffer Fish a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Northwest Territory leading 1-0, Baker, who is tied for 10th in the SR in triples with 1, hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run triple.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Northwest Territory manager Melvin Henry.
