Redwood right fielder Jin-haeng Yu helped his team beat the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 6-2. Yu, who is tied for 8th in the SR in bases on balls with 11, went 1 for 3 for the Rhinos. Wilson Silva was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The Rhinos, at 11-10, sit in 5th place in the Silver R.
Yu contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Redwood in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Yu took a cutter from Tyrone Tolbert and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Rhinos to leap in front, 4-2.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Yu.
