Dirty Reds Take Down Piranhas, 5-4
|
Lang Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the San Mateo Dirty Reds and Panama City Piranhas.
The San Mateo Dirty Reds beat the Panama City Piranhas, 5-4, at Lang Park. The Dirty Reds got a fine performance from right fielder Esteban Sifuentes, who went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Dirty Reds, now 24-10, have won 6 in a row.
Sifuentes had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 sinker from Jonathan Lentz, he banged a solo home run to center, giving the Dirty Reds a 5-4 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Sifuentes.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Panama City manager Brian Talamante.
