The Beaumont Crossbeaus did just enough to secure a victory over the Redwood Rhinos, 2-1, at The Zoo. Nobody did more than pitcher Gerjan Muijen. Alberto Ramos recorded his 8th save for Beaumont. Redwood falls to 8-9.
Beaumont used the bat of Senzo Matsuura to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Crossbeaus ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Redwood manager Dave Parrish. "The effort was great."
