Shepard Leads Angel Kitties to Win
|
The 8-4 Bethlehem win over Fort Knox was due in large part to William Shepard. The Angel Kitties shortstop went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Bethlehem pitcher Salvador Olivares got the win. He's now 4-1. Alfredo Lugo was tagged with the loss. The Angel Kitties, at 43-47, sit in 7th place in the Premier R.
Shepard contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Bethlehem get the win.
"We came out aggressive," said Angel Kitties manager Allen Evans. "We came out swinging the bats."
