Nuañez Impresses in Hollywood Loss
Hollywood left fielder Rubén Nuañez was sensational. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Mateo beat the Shredders, 8-7. The winner was San Mateo reliever Urs Ehles, now 3-0. The loser was Lloyd Natoff. Justin Frederick nailed down his 5th save.

Quitério Ruah hit a 2-run home run off Lloyd Natoff in the top of the ninth, which put the Dirty Reds ahead, 8-7. In addition to the homer, Ruah had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 5.

"We got the victory," said Ruah. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

San Mateo is now 20-10, 2½ games up in the Silver League.
