Olartecoechea Slugs Flanderses to 5-2 Win
|
Flanderses center fielder Pablo Olartecoechea put his stamp on his team's 5-2 win over the Shady Side Zoomies. Olartecoechea went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Hudsonville in the contest. Hudsonville raised its record to 37-31 with the win.
Olartecoechea had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from James Allingham, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Flanderses a 5-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Olartecoechea.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Olartecoechea told the Hudsonville Chronicle.
