A 4-RBI performance from third baseman Kawenaula Alohalani, who finished 3rd in the SL in wins above replacement with 4.7 last year, led the San Mateo Dirty Reds to a win over the Hollywood Shredders, 8-2. Jorge González, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. San Mateo is now 19-10, 2 games up in the Silver League.

With San Mateo leading 4-2 in the top of the seventh, Alohalani hit a 2-run single off Hollywood hurler Eugenio Piñeiro. It was the 30th hit of the season for Alohalani and put his team ahead, 6-2.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Alohalani said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
