Shredders Deal Dirty Reds 2-1 Loss
|
The Shredders faced a stiff challenge from San Mateo pitcher Sylvain Richard, but persevered to claim a win at The Hollywood Bowl. The final score was 2-1. Richard went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Hollywood reliever Eric Mason got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Juan Moreno was tagged with the loss. Hollywood, at 14-14, sits in 7th place in the Silver League.
Hollywood won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Juan Moreno on the mound for San Mateo, third baseman Tony Randolph hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Shredders fans to their feet.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Randolph.
