Warheads Win, 5-0, at Long Island
|
The Amarillo Warheads defeated the Long Island Ducks, 5-0, in USPL Rookie action at Ducks Park. Amarillo pitcher Denzel Halford had a standout performance. The Warheads sport a record of 20-37.
Amarillo third baseman Yok-sing Hsu contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Warheads ahead, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Hsu said after the game.
