Both teams had their chances, but the Athletic Club KC U-24 eventually prevailed.
The Athletic Club KC U-24 topped the Kennesaw Jets, 4-3, in USPL Single A action at ACKC Youth Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Athletic Club KC pitcher Jamie Miller. The last-place U-24 sport a record of 39-51.
Lucas Holland put Athletic Club KC in front, 4-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Bob O'Bryan in the bottom of the first. It was his 9th home run of the season.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Miller told the Athletic Club KC Daily News.
