Flanderses Win at Amarillo, 5-4
|
Despite a great performance by Amarillo right fielder Gene Haber, the Hudsonville Flanderses defeated the Warheads by the score of 5-4 at Ballpark of Henderson. Haber hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Hudsonville's record now stands at 26-26, placing them 5th in the Premier R.
Pablo Olartecoechea, the 19-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Olartecoechea contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Hudsonville up, 5-3.
In postgame comments to the Hudsonville Chronicle, Olartecoechea said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
