The Hudsonville Flanderses defeated the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 9-5, at Hudsonville Park today. Leading the charge for Hudsonville was third baseman Joshua Sheppard. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The Flanderses saw their record improve to 25-26.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Sheppard delivered big-time for Hudsonville, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Carl Rogers. The game-changing hit put the Flanderses on top, 6-5.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Sheppard.
