Chandler Hits 3 home runs in Rams Win
|
A 6-RBI performance from the 21-year old right fielder Clifton Chandler helped the Ladue Rams beat the Long Island Ducks, 9-0. The winning pitcher was Aaron Daniels. His record is now 5-0. The left-hander went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits for the Rams. Ladue, now 26-25, holds down 4th place in the Premier R.
With Ladue leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Chandler hit a cutter from Alfredo Hernández for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Rams ahead, 5-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Ladue manager Lance Davis.
