Yinzers Run Win Streak to 6

Monroeville picked up a win at The Ballpark on the Beach, toppling the South Beach Blaze, 2-1. Pitcher António Haritos was one of the reasons the Yinzers triumphed. Haritos, now 5-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing no runs. Elton Ray earned the save for Monroeville, his 7th of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Monroeville, had it not been for Kyung-chul Son, the 20-year old right fielder . Son contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Monroeville up, 2-0.
"Runs were at a premium," said Monroeville manager Júlio González.
Monroeville has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
