Blaze Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Jets, 4-1
South Beach and Kennesaw duked it out and the Blaze came out victorious.

Clark Ritchie never let the Jets get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Blaze to a win, 4-1. South Beach reliever Tommy Casey picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Greg Stengel shouldered the loss.

South Beach took a 4-1 lead on Pedro Figoroa's 14th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Figoroa hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kennesaw pitcher Billy Richardson visibly frustrated.

"We've got a great group of guys," Figoroa said, "and we're having fun right now."

South Beach now has a 3-game win streak.
