The Tulsa Otters topped the Shady Side Zoomies, 6-3, in USPL Rookie action at Ballpark of Hughesville. The standout performance belonged to Tulsa pitcher and Minneapolis, Minnesota, native Dave Martin. Martin picked up the win for Tulsa, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Mark Jackson got credit for the save for Tulsa. It was his 2nd of the year.

The Otters got a big at-bat from left fielder José Rico. For the game, Rico was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Tulsa a 2-0 lead.
