The skies opened up and the rain fell at Kittie Park.

The Amarillo Warheads had to overcome a big game from Bethlehem second baseman Abdoulaye Shaik to leave Kittie Park with a victory. And they did, winning 7-6. Shaik went 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. José Blanco came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-3.

Amarillo needed the clutch hitting of Carlos Fuentes to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Warheads on top, 7-6. For the game, Fuentes had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Fuentes.

Amarillo is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 18 games.
