Angel Kitties Beat Uruguayans, 7-4
|
Bethlehem Angel Kitties starter Wessel de Best pitched a strong game against the Germantown Uruguayans at Ballpark of Albuquerque, leading the Angel Kitties to victory, 7-4. de Best, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. The Angel Kitties have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 14 games.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Juan Oreta? The Bethlehem shortstop had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Angel Kitties on top, 6-1. For the game, Oreta had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," de Best told the Bethlehem Today.
