Extra-Inning Win by Chiefs Over Reapers
|
Caldwell picked up a win at The Coffin, toppling the Grim Reapers, 3-2. Pitcher Tim Chuter was one of the reasons the Chiefs triumphed. Sergio Escalora earned the save, his 2nd, for the Chiefs. The Reapers, now 31-34, have lost 5 in a row.
Chuter, a native of Otis Orchards-East Farms, Washington, was dealing all game. He kept Grim hitters off-balance, while giving the Chiefs 7.2 quality innings. Chuter threw 96 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.
"We put together a nice win," Chuter said.
