Otters Win 6-4 Walk-Off

The Tulsa Otters beat the Germantown Uruguayans, 6-4, at Ballpark of Hughesville. The Otters got a fine performance from shortstop Wayne Funnell, who was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Iván Betancourt, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The win puts Tulsa at 7-3.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Tulsa trailing 4-3, Funnell hit a fastball from Fernando Marín for a 3-run home run, giving the Otters the walk-off win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Funnell. "And not try to do too much."
