Multi-HR Day for Pacheco as Chiefs Overpower Vibes, 4-3
|
Caldwell beat Rocky Mountain at Bellevue Field, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder Norberto Pacheco. He went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, Caldwell goes to 33-29, while the Vibes fall to 25-37.
Pacheco contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Caldwell in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Pacheco took a circle change from Bryan Lee and stroked the home run to right. His 14th home run of the season allowed the Chiefs to leap in front, 3-2.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Rocky Mountain manager Eduardo López. "The effort was great."
