Chukars Win at Smoky Mountain, 4-3
|
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus got a superb performance from pitcher Kanne Kaspers, but the Idaho Falls Chukars still won the game, 4-3. Kaspers came in in relief and pitched to 21 batters. Idaho Falls reliever Leonard Harmon picked up the win to move to 1-0. Eugene Lusty suffered the loss. The victory puts Idaho Falls at 31-62.
Doug Randall, the 21-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Randall contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Idaho Falls up, 4-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Randall.
