Shredders Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Hollywood Shredders wiggled past the Baltimore Bullets, 3-2, at The Hollywood Bowl. The win was highlighted by the performance of Hollywood pitcher Lonnie Zavala. The win belongs to Eugenio Piñeiro in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Da'wan Gaines took the loss for Baltimore. The win gives the Shredders a record of 10-8.
The Shredders procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Yamato Sato. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
